Vered Blonstein, a SAG/AFTRA actress, has worked at Jeff Olan Casting as a casting intern on MTV’s first original scripted series, “The Hard Times of RJ Berger,” along with other projects.
Born in Israel to a Polish/Austrian father and Russian/Persian mother, Vered moved to New York when she was 3-years-old.
Performing since she was born, Vered was discovered by a New York City commercial casting director when she was 4-years-old. Unable to accept the principal role in a Snuggles commercial due to scheduling conflicts, Vered continued in theatre in South Florida throughout her childhood and teenage years, winning superior awards at statewide thespian competitions and performing in stage productions.
After declining an invitation to work in Israeli soap operas, Vered was accepted into a Masters theatre program. She later began booking lead roles in feature films. Soon after, Vered booked a principal role in a national commercial and was Taft-Hartleyed. After becoming SAG, Vered packed her belongings and drove from Florida to LA. Vered's performing credits can be found on IMDb.
A Brandeis University graduate with a BA in English & American Literature, Vered has worked as an award-winning writer, editor and photographer in Boston and Florida for numerous publications, including The Miami Herald and a variety of Web sites.
After just one meeting with Vered, Jeff Olan recognized Vered’s natural eye and intuitive skill for casting and had her join his casting team.
Vered is passionate about her veganism (advocating raw foods), travel, film, photography, art, reading, writing and music. She is dedicated to having a positive impact on society and experiencing life to its fullest.
Vered speaks Hebrew fluently ('Vered' means 'rose' - the flower - in Hebrew) and is a fantastic hula hooper.
